A visit with Au Purr is much more than simply having someone come in and throw some food in a bowl.  Our goal here at Au Purr is that you have total peace of mind knowing your cat feels safe and loved, and that your home is staying safe and well-cared for as well.  A visit from Au Purr means attention and lots of love for your fur-baby, and security and maintenance for your home.  We want you to return home to a happy kittty, and a home that looks better than you left it!  Our company and employees are insured and bonded, and our staff must pass rigorous screenings and full criminal background checks in order to become a member of our team.  These are your precious babies and your home--something we do not take lightly.  With Au Purr you are booking a comprehensive, premier service, which means we take care of you before, during, and after your bookings. In addition to the visits themselves, provided by true cat-lovers, your service with Au Purr also inlcludes:

  • Our Online Booking/Client Information System - This system, created specifically for pet sitting businesses, ensures all of your important information is stored in one place--making it easy to update or change any information or instructions and have everybody on the same page.  You have complete control of requesting your bookings, which means no middle-man to make an error on the dates/visits you need. You can also check the status of your bookings at any time--meaning you can see what has been requested, confirmed, or completed-- simply by logging in and checking your schedule.  We will never lose your information or miss a booking, because we are all logged into the same system.
  • Direct Access to the Owner - As a client of Au Purr, you can rest assured that there is always someone "at the top" ready to answer any of your questions and deal with any of your concerns.  Jille makes it a top priority to be there for her clients, as well as her staff, and is available during normal business hours Monday-Saturday for your needs. She works daily to monitor the schedule, her staff, and all correspondance. 
  • Daily Journals w/ Photos - As cat people ourselves, we know how much you miss your little ones when you are gone. As part of our service, you receive a daily online journal that is complete with a checklist noting everything that was done, a personal note from your sitter, and photos!  Of course, this is meant to be a record of our visits, assuming everything is going well. Any issues or problems would be directly relayed to you ASAP.
  • Email NotificationsOur online system also sends out automated notifications for service confirmations, invoice creations, and journal entries.  Note that these are simply notifications, alerting you to the fact that these things are online in your profile. 
  • Access to Advice from Professionals - Our experience with hundreds of cats and their human companions means that we have come across more than your average cat-companion! We are happy to offer any advice or suggestions when possible. In addition to our experience, our staff also includes a trained Vet Tech, who can offer her specialized opinion. *Please note that our advice should not be taken as medical advice, and that any advice given is strictly our opinion and should be taken as such. Please follow your Veterinary Doctor's advice on medical issues. 

 

Cat-Sitting Services:

  • Daily Visit- : Our most popular service. Options of AM block (9am-12:55pm) or PM block (1:00-6pm).  You may book as many per day as you like. For those requesting 2 times a day, you may book an AM block and a PM block. 
  • Super Early or Late Night Visit : For those with specific hourly requirements (eg: cats with medication requirements that must be spaced 12 hours apart). Time blocks are 7-8:55 a.m for Super Early visit, and 7-9pm for Late Night. Please note that these time blocks are the only daily visit time slots that are guaranteed when booked.
  • Overnights : A popular option, especially for those interested in twice a day visits, or those who simply would like that extra peace of mind.  Client receives a guaranteed 12 hours that sitter is in the home, from roughly 7pm-7am. All evening and morning routines are included, and you have the added bonus of knowing your kitties and your home are being watched over at night.

 

Every visit includes fresh food and water, litter box cleaning, administering any necessary medications (liquid, pills, or Sub-q), and lots and lots of kitty playtime, attention, and love!  All visits also include any basic household upkeep, such as watering plants, taking in the mail and newspapers, feeding any small animals (fish, birds, reptiles), curbing trash and recycling, as well as opening and closing any blinds to provided a “lived-in” look to deter theft. Any veterinary emergency is also included in our fees. Our visits are not limited by time but rather catered to how much time and attention each individual cat needs.

Initial Consultation: No Charge if services booked before or at time of consultation (regular visit fees apply if services not booked or if you need us to come back ) All customers need to provide 2 FULL sets of working keys to keep on file at sign up.

Daily Visit

Our most popular service.  These are the times your sitter may ARRIVE at your home. Options of AM block (9am-12:55pm) or PM block (1:00-6pm).  You may book as many per day as you like. For those requesting 2 times a day, you may book an AM block and a PM block and we will spread them out as much as possible. Please note that ONLY the Super Early and Late Evening Visits are in guaranteed time slots, and come with a $10 surcharge.

A popular option, especially for those interested in twice a day visits, or those who simply would like that extra peace of mind.  Client receives a guaranteed 12 hours that sitter is in the home, from roughly 7 or 8pm- to roughly 7 or 8 am. All evening and morning routines are included, and you have the added bonus of knowing your kitties and your home are being watched over at night.

Key Pick Up

We require 2 sets of working keys to keep on file at all times. If you cannot provide key copies for us to keep on file, you must arrange a key pick up time at your home.  Alternatively, you are welcome to drop off your keys at our Oakland headquarters at least 2 days before the beginning of your visits. 

Key Drop Off/Return

We require 2 sets of working keys to keep on file at all times. We do not leave keys locked in apartments for safety and security/emergency reasons. If you can not provide us key copies to keep on file, and wish to have your key returned at the end of our visits, you must schedule a time for us to pick up and return your key to you at your home within our online system.   

Initial Consult (charged only if no visits booked or if we have to come back)

Your meet-and-greet with your assigned sitter. To be booked after your first requested visits and phone consultation.  First meeting is complimentary (with visits booked), any additional are charged at the regular visit fee. Please have two sets of keys ready for your sitter at this meeting.
